IM Eye Review – It’s Good, BUT….

So the IM Eye was released last week and I’ve been overwhelmed with how much hype it has attracted.  Granted, this product is the brainchild of the creators of the following top products Niche Blueprint / Commission Blueprint / SEM Blueprint so you know from their reputation, it is rock solid. If you’ve been following any of Steve’s systems and strategies, you’ll see that it is a very systematic approach to affiliate marketing using a very systematic business blueprint to marketing products from clickbank or amazon or any of the other mainstream affiliate networks.   As defined by a “system”, their process is something you can map out, define and most importantly repeat over and over and over again with the expectation of similar results.  Of course not every campaign or niche website you roll out is going to experience the same level of success, BUT – using a systematic approach – it doesn’t allow you to get hung up with the typical “analysis paralysis” that plagues most aspiring affiliate marketers. This is where IM Eye definitely breaks down some of the typical barriers to entry – where market analysis can often be confused with keyword analysis.   Most people use these two terms synonymously, but in reality – they are very different things in the context of affiliate marketing.   First of all, what YOU may consider a strong keyword may NOT be what the MARKET actually has been looking for – and most importantly, purchasing with.  Also, with the vast amount of keyword research tools out there, you can become trapped in the Google Adwords vicious circle where you only go after particular SEED keywords and see what the mighty Google deems related.   Probably the best tool to ever hit the market for traditional keyword research is Market Samurai and Steve used this tool extensively when demonstrating his keyword research strategies. What makes IM Eye unique is the fact that you don’t input a root keyword at all!  You basically have a GIGANTIC database of proven profitable keywords that have been harvested by their system and it’s just a matter of you cherry-picking the market opportunities as they present themselves within the tool.  It’s an amazing exercise of brainstorming and you’ll find yourself digging around for hours – which may or may not be a good thing!I’ve discovered a ton of keywords that are related to various markets that I am in that traditional keyword tools MAY have stumbled across – but IMEye pretty much brings those keywords right to the forefront and there’s no question of whether or not it’s a useful keyword – all the data is presented right there including:

  • The number of searches
  • The number of competing pages found on Google
  • The number of intitle competing pages on Google
  • The number of words in any keyword phrase
  • The top 10 websites in the Google search results for a keyword phrase
  • The number of adwords that are currently running on Google
  • The exact Clickbank products that have been promoted using the keyword phrase
  • The affiliate catagories that have been promoted using the keyword phrase
  • SEO analysis which helps you further target keywords including:
    • Are physical goods are being sold for that keyword/market
    • Are there any exact domain matches in the top 10 with that keyword
    • Are there any Ezinearticles in the top 10 using that keyword term
    • Are there any youtube results in the top 10 with that keyphrase
    • Are there any Amazon results in the top 10 with the keyword
    • Are there any Yahoo answers in the top 10 with the keyword
    • Are there any Squidoo, Hubpages, or Blogspot results in the top 10 using the term

In another words, you don’t find a keyword, then perform all this analysis after the fact – you essentially reverse the process and define what criteria you would like and then it gives you keywords that fit the criteria – pretty cool huh?Having said all that – here’s the BUT.   Adding a tool like this to your arsenal is completely USELESS if you don’t do anything with the data that is presented.  If you are one of those chronic opportunity addicts where you believe there’s another tool out there or coaching course or system that is going to give you more information – well, you’re probably right.  There will ALWAYS be more tools, more gurus, more ways to slice and dice this thing we call Affiliate Marketing.  The point being – if you are reading this post, you probably possess enough knowledge in your head right ALREADY to be successful.  All these tools and gadgets are really a means to speed up or increase your efficiency with {insert your marketing methodology here} – whether that’s focusing on SEO, or PPC or whatever way you are driving traffic to your offers. So if you’ve been struggling to narrow down and really PINPOINT what markets and keywords you want to unleash your next marketing attack upon, IM Eye definitely gives you an almost “crystal ball” like view of the market.  If you are already using tools like Market Samurai to do keyword research but you never actually LAUNCH a website or Adwords Campaign, this could be the tool that performs that last bit of analysis that pushes you over the hump to actually DO something.Steve’s video of the IMEye pretty much explains everything, so check it out at the IMEye Official Site
